**WATCH THE VIDEO**
All you need to do is Copy & Paste the RTMP credentials into your hardware or software.
You will only need to set up your encoder once. Your Live Stream credentials will not change. To stream week-after-week simply start the broadcast within your encoding hardware or software. You DO NOT need to be logged into your sermon.net account to broadcast live.
Note: See encoder specific set up and settings instructions below.
STEP 1:
Copy & Paste RTMP Stream Credentials into your encoder.
Note: Depending on the RTMP hardware or software you are using, you will need either
(i) a separate (two line) Server Address and Stream Key, or you will need
(ii) a single line stream credential.
(i) The separate (two line) Server Address and Stream Key are available on the Dashboard of your account. https://v3.sermonstudio.net/secure/
Copy the Server URL, and Paste it into the corresponding location within your encoding hardware or software. Do the same with Stream Key. [OBS used in screenshot.]
(ii) If needed, the single line (combined) Stream Credential is available by clicking on the Encoder Setup button on the Dashboard of your account. https://v3.sermonstudio.net/secure/LiveEncoderSetup
Copy the Stream Credential and Paste it into the corresponding location within your encoding hardware or software.
STEP 2:
Start the broadcast within your encoding software or hardware. [OBS used in screenshot.]
Depending on your Studio settings, the Live Recording will be added to your Manage Live Recording (https://v3.sermonstudio.net/secure/LiveRecordings) page/list or it will automatically add a new Episode to your Manage Episodes (https://v3.sermonstudio.net/secure/Episodes) page/list.
Tips for Successful Live Streams
1. Know your network up speed and set up your encoder to stream at a quality resolution and bitrate. Ensure public wifi access at your location cannot cause bottlenecks in your network.
2. Know your camera’s frame rate and data rate. Some encoders will need specific settings if streaming 30fps vs 60fps etc.
3. For software encoders ensure they are installed on a machine with ample RAM and CPU power for the quality you choose to stream.
4. Follow the simulcasting steps and streaming steps to ensure your streams go off without hitch week-to-week.
